Methodology
Ignite has spent years perfecting a unique set of learning strategies based on the latest research and technology. These strategies have been proven to not only help our students achieve higher scores on their tests, but also make them better learners by providing them with academic skills they can use in high school, college, and graduate school. Our test prep tutoring, curriculum and courses stand out for their effectiveness in raising standardized test scores, ability to engage students, and focus on critical thinking and problem-solving skills. For example, Ignite’s approach to passage-based reading improves students’ accuracy, speed, and comprehension while making them stronger readers in the process.
Every Ignite student takes five full-length practice tests. Research shows that repeated exposure to realistic practice tests is a major factor in improving test scores. Moreover, our instructors don’t just know these standardized tests backward and forward… they inspire students with their energy and enthusiasm, using humor and fun to keep students focused and engaged.
Learning Style & Skills Assessment
Every Ignite student is seen as unique, and as a result must be instructed and coached in a way that fits that particular style. To that end, we provide an initial diagnostic as well as an assessment to discern how best to move forward in our process.
Individualized Tutoring
After the assessment information is gathered, it is then utilized to the advantage of the student. Session content and direction is determined in a way that caters to a student’s particular story.
